Amanda Luong is a family nurse practitioner and faculty instructor at Columbia University School of Nursing. She received a Bachelors of Science (BS) from Boston University and a Masters in Nursing (MSN) by completing the direct entry program at Simmons College. She is board-certified in Family Health by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC).
Amanda comes from Boston, MA with almost four years experience working in a federally qualified health center (FQHC) that serves a culturally diverse and undeserved population. As a family trained nurse practitioner, she cares for a variety of patients, from newborns to the elderly, including prenatal patients. Her special interests include chronic disease management, chronic hepatitis B management, women’s health and family planning. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family in Boston and baking.
